Diablo 4 is a continuation of the Diablo story, complete with all of its bloody and grimy details. Players are not likely to forget any of the mind-bending twists, ferocious monsters, or evil immortals that they encounter in Diablo 4, especially any time in the near future. Longtime players of the series will immediately recognize that this iteration of Sanctuary is visually and experientially much closer to the franchise's first two games than it is to Diablo 3, which was released much later. Instead of accepting coins, the purveyor will trade items for something called "Murmuring Obols," which are strange ornaments that can be found throughout the player's journey. It's a fun and interesting system that players can use to patch up any holes in their gear whenever they need to.

The Purveyor of Curiosities is the location where players can make their purchase of Whispering Keys for the price of 20 Murmuring Obols. Whispering Keys are required in order to open locked chests that are found throughout the open world. The chests are typically worth the time and effort required to open them because they contain significant quantities of unique loot. On the other hand, there is no predetermined location for the chests to spawn in. Because they can appear anywhere and at any time, it is advisable to always have a couple of keys on hand. In addition to the keys, the Purveyor of Curiosities sells all of the different types of armor and weapons that are available for players to equip. In return for additional Murmuring Obols, the Purveyor will offer the player a randomized version of anything they choose to purchase from their wares. It's possible that the quality ranges from common to rare to even legendary. There is no pattern to it at all. It is a gamble, but there isn't much to lose because players pick up Obols regularly and they can't be used for anything else.

The maximum number of Obols that a player can hold is 500

- After they have reached their limit, they might as well spend some of it on keys or equipment

- There is no way for the player to acquire additional Obols through trading, and the Purveyor will not buy anything from them

- There is absolutely no back and forth possible

- Having said that, players who are short on gold have the option of purchasing some randomized gear in the hopes of obtaining something rare and then selling it off if they are successful

- It won't work every time, but if they have a lot of luck, it could be beneficial to them in terms of acquiring good Aspects
